22nd July 1917 - 1st Batt: Batt marched to Halifax Camp on the Ouderdon to Vlamertinghe Road.

Rolling casualty count: 6791

War Front:

1st Batt: Batt moved at 9pm and marched to Halifax Camp on the Ouderdon to Vlamertinghe Road.

2nd Batt: Church Parade with the 1st Queens on the field near the cemetery.

3rd Batt: Patrols are sent out each night to enter enemy front line and are not encountering any resistance.

1/8th Batt: Batt moved to Labret Station and entrained at 1.30pm for Bienvillers Saulty The train did not move until 9pm.

2/8th Batt: Church Parade in am Capt HR Mitchell evacuated to England and 4 other ranks went to the Casualty Clearing Station.

10th Batt: Batt moved into the line with B and C Coys in the front line, A Coy in support in the old front line in Rose Wood and D Coy in reserve in the trench east of Godezone Farm.

Yeomanry/Cavalry: Three German batts and 2 Turkish divisions made a determined attempt to seize the Jordan Valley crossings and rid the valley of our presence.
