War Front:
1st Batt: The village of Villers Guislains shelled intermittently.
2nd Batt: Coys doing musketry and PT when not at the baths in Noordpeene.
4th Batt: Batt had Lewis gun classes, musketry and ceremonial drill.
Home Front:
LOCAL WAR HONOURS – MILITARY CROSS – Lieut H Kendrick, Yeomanry and M.G.C., Lieut Kendrick is the son of Mr G Kendrick of Lynn, a director of Messrs Willis, Worcester, boot manufacturers. The young officer, who was formerly engaged at the factory in Worcester, joined Yeomanry at the outbreak of war. His Cross was awarded for distinguished service in the field in connection with military operations culminating in the capture of Jerusalem.
D.C.M. FOR FORMER WORCESTER REPORTER – Sergt. N. Pegg, Gloucestershire Regt., has been awarded the D.C.M. for gallantry on patrol duty in the enemy lines. Sergt Pegg is the son of Mr and Mrs R Pegg; he came from Birmingham to the staff of this newspaper as a reporter and afterwards went to Bristol, where he enlisted in a Bristol City Battalion in September 1914. He suffered shell shock in the fighting at Delville Wood and was sent home.
