18th November 1917 - Reconnoitres carried out through the foothills of Wadi Surar

War Front:

1st Batt: Batt found a working party of 250 other ranks to help the Canadian Artillery.1 officer and 1 other rank wounded.

2nd Batt: Batt enbussed on the Locre -Dranout Road for St Lawrence Camp at Brandhoek, arriving at 11.45am.

4th Batt: Batt was billeted in hutment camp called York and spent the day preparing to move further up towards the Line at Sorel and then billeted in bivouacs.

Yeomanry/Cavalry: D Squadron carried out reconnoitres through the foothills of Wadi Surar up which runs the Ramleh-Jerusalem Railway line.
