As the Worcestershire World War One Hundred programme enters the final year of commemorations the focus becomes increasingly reflective as we explore the impact of WWI locally and nationally.

On Saturday 11 November members of the public joined the Worcestershire World War One Hundred team and Discover History to remember the fallen.

The George Marshall Medical Museum and The Infirmary are joining forces with the WWW100 programme to present a series of free talks on Armistice Day exploring the impact the First World War had on medicine across the County.

Childhood Interrupted is a new, free, exhibition which runs from 2 – 29 November at The Hive exploring how children’s lives and education were changed or disrupted by war 100 years ago.

Freedom March on Saturday 21 October will mark the centenary of the award of the Victoria Cross to Pte Frederick Dancox of the Worcestershire Regiment.

ON SATURDAY 21 October 2017, regular and army reserve soldiers of The Mercian Regiment will parade through Worcester to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the regiment’s formation.

9 October 11 am Worcestershire Regiment Memorial Stone, Gheluvelt Park,Worcester WR1 3EX The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regimental Association will lay a wreath to commemorate the heroic actions of Private Frederick George Dancox.

A Warndon Library Community Group has joined a national project researching the lives of servicemen who were injured at Passchendaele in Belgium in 1917.

The Queens Own Worcestershire Hussars will commemorate the Charge at Huj in a special exhibition which runs from 25 October at the Worcester Soldier Gallery, Worcester City Museum & Art Gallery.
