Recent Tribunal Case: Sir, - In reference to my case at the County Tribunal, Worcester, headed “A Candid Opinion,” I have written to my sleeping partner, enclosing a cutting from your paper, and this is his reply: “Thanks for cutting. I am exceedingly surprised at what Mr. Willis Bund says I said, as I have never written him on any occasion. However, I have written him for an explanation, as I don’t like remarks made public which I have never said. It think the statement which he said I wrote would prejudice the case.” Edgar Chapman, Tailor, 66, Broad Street, Worcester [The statement as it appeared in the “Daily Times” on Wednesday, was as follows:- “The Chairman said he had received a letter from the sleeping partner, who ended by saying, “I have a very poor opinion of the Worcester City Tribunal, as I have of everything connected with the Corporation.” – Editor, Worcester Daily Times.

Organ Recital: The second of a series of organ recitals was given in the Cathedral on Thursday night by Mr. Ivor Atkins. A large congregation assembled. As on a previous occasion, Mr. Atkins was assisted in the programme by the Festival Choral Society, who contributed two selections. The organ selections were played with Mr. Atkins’ accustomed skill, and the tone poem, “Finlandia” (by Sibelius) brought into play the full capacity of the organ…As is usual on these occasions, the programme contained a hymn for the congregation, and the one chosen was John Wesley’s “Put thou thy trust in God,” sung to a familiar tune. The Precentor read the opening prayers, and at the close of the recital a collection was made for the Professional Classes War Relief Fund.
