On the Home Front:
Gifts for the Wounded: On Saturday and Sunday evenings, batches of wounded soldiers arrived at the Worcester Infirmary from the Southern General Hospital, Birmingham, and a further batch is coming tonight. The Matron (Miss Herbert) will be pleased to receive gifts of greens, lettuce, onions, etc., on behalf of the soldiers.
Weight or Measure? Dear Sir, -Would it not be within the power of the Markets Committee to compel tradesmen to sell by weight as on Saturday I brought two separate half-pecks of peas. At one shop I had 4lbs. by weight, for which I paid 8d.; the other by measure, I had 2lbs. 12ozx., for which I paid 71/2d. WEIGH-ALL.
