An Infants sudden death - Lucy Merry aged 13 hours. Albert Merry, father of the child, said the child was black round the mouth and nose when born on Tuesday night. The next morning he saw that it was not well. He did not send for a doctor or nurse. Asked why he did not do so, he said he could not make out why he did not do so, probably because he was so worried. When he came home in the evening the child was dead. The jury gave a verdict in accord with the medical evidence. The coroner said it was a pity that someone was not sent for.
