Worcester infirmary Committee – A Sub Committee reported receipt of an application from a Glasgow lady doctor for the position of Resident Medical Officer. This appointment was approved by the Honorary Medical Staff but subsequently the lady telegraphed that she had obtained another appointment and withdrew her application.

Mr. Allport acting medical officer wrote stating that he was medically unfit for the Army and was in consequence prepared to withdraw his resignation and remain in his present position until the end of the war. The Committee decided to continue with Mr. Allport's appointment.
