20th August 1915 - Willis Bund's book on Gheluvelt runs out

Mr Willis Bund's record of "How Calais was saved" the heroic behaviour of the Worcesters and the South Wales Borderers at Gheluvelt has leapt at a bound into widespread popularity as a thrilling tale. The penny volume has been on bookstalls less than a week yet thousands of copies have been sold and the edition is out of print.
