14th August 1914 - Worcestershires in France

The 2nd Battalion disembarked in Boulogne and marched to the Camp de Marlborough on a hill near the town.

The 3rd Battalion arrived in France. The 3rd Brigade marched from Braine in chilly rain.

Masters of Cathedral King's School were preparing to organise a body of public schoolboys who could assist in harvesting if needed: At present there is no shortage of labour with firms closing down and others working short time.
